SASSI as an outcome measure
Re-administering the SASSI once a person has undergone treatment can be useful in providing a comparison of psychological adjustment "before and after". Where a person appears to have successfully given up use of a substance, the presentation of a profile which shows residual dysfunction can be an indicator that relapse is likely if relevant issues are not addressed.
